What Chilldyne does

Chilldyne supplies a direct-to-chip water loop that operates below atmospheric pressure. Its pumps pull coolant through cold plates and manifolds, so a breach is intended to draw air into the circuit instead of pushing water onto electronics. The company packages the coolant distribution unit, rack manifold, cold plates, and Cool-Flo monitoring software as one system.

That pressure strategy is the core distinction; it addresses leak consequence differently from positive-pressure loops, while still using familiar single-phase water cooling at the processor. Chilldyne reports operating graphics-processing-unit clusters since 2014 and cites installations at Sandia and Cirrascale. Daikin Applied acquired the company in November 2025, linking its rack-side system to Daikin chillers, DDC Solutions cabinets, and a broader service organization.

Buyers still need to examine how the loop detects and removes ingested air, how much vacuum margin remains at the most distant cold plate, and what happens during pump or power failure. They should also verify server approvals, cold-plate coverage, residual air load, water chemistry, pressure drop, redundancy, controls links, local parts, and who owns the server warranty. The negative-pressure principle does not eliminate every possible spill during filling, draining, or service.
