What is the DCX Enterprise ECDU 1380/2600?
DCX launched the ECDU family in March 2026 as three models spanning 600 kW to 2.6 MW. This record covers the Enterprise model, which DCX states at 1.38 to 2.6 megawatts of what it calls real cooling capacity, meaning capacity at secondary-loop conditions rather than a laboratory best case. A single pump configuration reaches 3,333 liters per minute. The unit accepts supply water up to 45 degrees Celsius continuously, which keeps a chiller off the critical path in many climates, and uses an AT3 class heat exchanger with a high number of transfer units. It fits a 600 or 800 mm wide footprint at standard rack depth, so it sits in a row without a bespoke plinth. Pumps, power supplies and controls are N+1 as standard; redundant heat exchangers and redundant temperature, pressure and flow sensors are a separate mission-critical variant. DCX does not publish the approach temperature that the stated capacity assumes, the pressure drop across the unit, the electrical load, or the secondary fluid the rating uses. Those four gaps make the megawatt figure hard to compare with a rival quoted at a named approach. Ask for a selection at the site's own facility-water temperature and approach, the hydraulic curve, and which parts can be exchanged while the row stays live.
